During the April Patch Tuesday event, Microsoft released KB5055518 cumulative update for Windows 10 system, including 9 improvements and fixes. After installation, 22H2 users will see the version number upgraded to Build 19045.5737, and 21H2 users will see the version number upgraded to Build 19044.5737.

Users can go to "Settings" and click "Windows Update" to manually check for updates. Since updates are mandatory, once updates are checked, the system will automatically start installing the update.
It is reported that this update is mainly aimed at adjusting the 2025 daylight saving time (DST) changes in the Aysen region of Chile, and adds support for Noto CJK (Chinese, Japanese and Korean) fonts.
This update also fixes the problem that dual-mode printers that support US Print and IPP Over USB protocols may output garbled characters, and the problem that some Get-Help troubleshooting tools cannot run in remote desktop sessions.
Microsoft fixed the thumbnail crash issue in File Explorer in this update. In addition, system processes can now store temporary files in the secure directory "C:\Windows\SystemTemp" by calling the GetTempPath2 API or using .NET's GetTempPath API, thereby reducing the risk of unauthorized access.
For the European Economic Area (EEA), Microsoft has improved the Windows Search search experience, enhanced support for network search providers, merged results globally, and enhanced file discoverability.
Microsoft also reminded users that there are two known issues with this update: one is that if Citrix Session Recording Agent (SRA) version 2411 is installed on the device, it may cause Windows Update to fail; the other is that the Windows Event Viewer may incorrectly display Event 7023 errors about SgrmBroker.exe. Microsoft said that these problems will not affect the normal operation of the system and will be fixed in future updates.
